Mainstreaming Supplementary Schools
This is a new service that is raising educational attainment by providing pupils with intensive weekend courses in preparation for GCSEs and SATs assessments. The service is targeting BME pupils near or around the City Academy, and has been so successful a referral system from schools in other areas is being developed.
Integrated Employment and Enterprise Initiative
This initiative is about joining up employment, enterprise and training support in the city to meet the needs of local benefit claimants, job seekers and employers. It on our award-winning Enterprising People project.
Park Improvements
The Parks Improvement programme combines enhanced maintenance and capital investment in some of Bristol's most deprived parks, with greater community outreach to empower local people to take more ownership and be more active in the future management of these spaces.
Public Health & Smoke Free Bristol Workers
We are funding 3 public Health and Smoke Free Bristol health workers to champion the positives of smoke free environments among community groups and within community settings, in line with the 5 year smoke free Bristol action plan.
Stapleton Road Action Plan
The Stapleton Road Action Plan tackles the dereliction and degraded environment that is a hindrance to the local business and resident community and is adversely impacting on the local amenity of an area otherwise capable of a robust economy and a healthy community.
