Children and Young People's Partnership
Bristol’s aspirations for children and young people are coordinated through the Bristol Children and Young People’s Partnership. The Children and Young People's Partnership is a delivery group of the Bristol Partnership and fulfills the statutory requirement for local children’s trust arrangements.
Its role is to secure and enable effective inter-agency cooperation to improve outcomes for children and young people. The Partnership brings together a wide range of interests including the public, private, voluntary and community sectors.
Foundation Agreement
In September 2007 the Bristol Children and Young People's Partnership has signed up to a new Partnership Foundation Agreement. This sets out the Partnership's commitment to children and young people and is designed to underpin all our joint working. The agreement is available on this page in the related documents.
Bristol Children and Young People's Plan
The overarching strategic plan for all services which affect the lives of children and young people is the Bristol Children and Young People's Plan 2006-2009. The plan sets out the outcomes we wish to see for the 95,000 children and young people in our city. Our vision is to achieve the best possible results for children and young people across the five Every Child Matters outcomes:
- Be Healthy
- Stay Safe
- Enjoy and Achieve
- Make a Positive Contribution
- Enjoy Economic Well Being
The Children and Young People's Plan identifies four overarching strategic priorities for 2006-09:
- Improve prevention and early intervention
- Raise educational attainment
- Improve work related learning and skills for 14-19 year olds
- Build capacity to improve
