Children and Young People Needs Assessment

A detailed annual assessment of the needs of children and young people in Bristol, called Catching in the Rye, provides an important supplement to the Children and Young People’s Plan. The reports for the last three years are available in the related documents section.

Catching in the Rye captures the views of Bristol’s children and young people, including the results of the Young People's Quality of Life Survey. The assessment profiles the needs of specific groups of children and young people across the city and in individual neighbourhoods. This data and analysis powerfully contributes to shaping locally-based services.

An on-line database of all the indicators of need collated in Catching in the Rye is also available here. The latest information is also availabe as an Excel spreadsheet. You will need Microsoft Excel to open this file. Download the file and save it first.
